What Should You Check on Your First Private-Label Balloon Bag Proof?

Author: AIHUA BALLOON

Updated 17 September 2026

When you make balloon packaging under your own brand for the first time, I suggest starting with what is inside the bag: size, weight, colors and pieces per bag. Then we can build the packaging around that product. A nice front-panel design is useful, but the back panel and pack count deserve the same attention.

We work with wholesalers, brand owners and retail chains. This guide covers the first bag proof; our private-label packaging service page explains the order terms, while the artwork revision and reorder checklist covers changes to a design you have already used.

Match the picture and pack count to the product

Write the size, weight, color or color assortment, and pieces per bag on the same approval sheet. A 12-inch balloon is not a complete specification: the weight and pack count can differ. If several products share one packaging design, mark which details change between them.

There is a practical reason I care about the product photograph. One customer ordered more than 20 different products at a time, and their packaging pictures were computer composites. We offered to photograph the products to their requirements and send the finished artwork for confirmation. They were pleased with the result. This kind of help is part of reducing the detail work on the customer's side—not a separate charge for every small design task.

Our own-brand carton is 46 × 33 × 28 cm. That is not a fixed carton size for every private-label job. Changing a bag, pack count or box structure can change the outer carton, so we confirm the custom packing separately.

Check the flat layout, then the physical format

Review both sides of the artwork. Check the product name, size, color description, count and the exact version of your logo. Do not leave a sample barcode or draft warning text in a file that is being approved for production. Look at folds, seals and hanging holes as well as the main printed area.

For barcode artwork, check size, contrast, clear margins and position on the finished pack. GS1’s barcode-quality checklist explains these checks. A readable image on screen is not a barcode verification report; tell us if your retailer requires formal verification.

A digital proof lets you approve layout and wording. If you need to inspect the feel, sealing or packed appearance of the physical pack, tell us before the schedule is fixed so we can agree the sample arrangement. Ordinary balloon samples are free; you pay the courier. Custom printed balloon samples have a separate fee and should not be confused with ordinary samples.

Confirm the final version and start the right lead-time clock

A first order can start at US$5,000, including customer-branded packaging. Each color and specification must meet at least one carton. Payment is 30% deposit by bank transfer, with the balance paid before dispatch.

For customer packaging, the schedule starts when we have both the deposit and your approved packaging artwork: one 40HQ container within 45 days, two within 60 days; smaller projects usually take 30–45 days. These are dispatch times, not overseas arrival times. See the packaging and delivery terms before setting a retail launch date.

Buyer FAQ

Can I start without finished artwork?

Yes. Send the product list, brand files and packaging idea you have. We can work through the layout with you. You still need to provide and confirm the barcode and warning text.

Do you charge separately for packaging design?

Packaging design and plate-making are included in the order quotation. This does not mean every physical sample or courier shipment is free.

Is an existing AIHUA bag photo my approved pack?

No. It is a real packaging example. Your order uses the product, artwork and packing details you confirm.

What if I change the file after approving it?

Tell us exactly what changed and ask us to confirm the updated version and schedule. Use the revision checklist so the old file is not carried into the new order.

Send your product list and the details you already have through email or WhatsApp. You do not need a finished technical file to start a conversation. We reply within 24 hours.
